In Con_versations represents a personal investigation and reflection on the intimate dialogue and conversations within asian families. It examines the silences, gaps, pauses, and hesitations that emerge during conversations between members — moments that stem from a long-standing reluctance to trouble each other or provoke conflict and disagreement.

This reluctance has become a form of decay in itself: explored through the lens of decay, these silences and hesitations are not just absences but active forces that shape the dynamics of family interactions. They create a space where communication is stifled, and emotional connections can wither over time.

Through moving image, sculptural intervention, and printed matter, the work explores this phenomenon of hesitation, manifesting as scattered letters, layered dialogue, and deliberate gaps.

In spaces where silence speaks louder than words, a tension emerges between self-expression and strategic omission, creating an unspoken distance between family members.

Though they maintain their family bond, real intimacy and understanding have grown distant. The work examines how families can be close yet far apart at the same time.
